Making a Couch Horse

If you have a couch with big enough arms it's easy to turn it into your very own horse or unicorn.

Take a paper bag and with a pencil crayon you draw nostrils on the bottom edge of the bag. Near the top of the bag you draw eyes. On the bottom of the bag you can draw a mouth and cut it out if you want. Be careful not to cut through the horses nose (like I did) when you're doing this.
To make the ears and the forelock you cut two small triangles out of felt and for the forelock you cut a rectangle of felt the width of the bag and make small cuts along one side to look like fringe. You can also use construction paper if you don't have felt. Glue the ears to the edge of the bag above the eyes and the forelock just below the ears, it doesn't matter if the forelock covers the eyes a little. Tape the bag to the front of the arm of the couch.
Choose a piece of material any colour you like and hang it from the arm of the couch just above the horse's head to look like a mane. Do the same thing for the tail and hang it at the back of the arm.
For a saddle you can use material folded into a square and set in the middle of the arm of the couch.
Now climb on and settle in for a nice trail ride on your new horse.
